A nice hike of about a mile upstream from Ribbon Falls takes you to Upper Ribbon Falls. The hike up the valley is one of the prettiest places I have seen in the Grand Canyon. Maybe it is because of the quiet and lack of other people that set it off for me. The falls colors of the Cottonwood trees shown brilliant in the morning sun while I paid attention not to walk into the large Prickly Pear cactus and agave spikes.
