This 360° Spherical Panorama opens looking towards the Vermillion Cliffs. I wanted to take this pano as a demonstration of the contrast between the interior of Marble Canyon and the surrounding area that approaches Marble Canyon. Most of my panoramas have been taken either at cliff-side or at river-side in order to show some specific point of interest such as a side canyon or a river rapid.
What I like about this panorama is that it gives the viewer an idea of just how vast are the prairie and low rolling hills. Here, the Vermillion Cliffs are more than five miles away. The driving time across the prairie, through coulees, around small canyons, and up and down rough hills sometimes takes more than an hour from highway 89 just to access the rim of Marble Canyon.
