Wiener Platz, the heart of Haidhausen. Currently one of the top “in” areas in Munich, a beautiful part of Munich with lots of bars, restaurants and coffee houses. Also located here is the Hofbräukeller and most importantly – the beer garden.
Bavaria is well known for its beer gardens and the obsessions of the locals to go for a Maß (1 liter) of beer once the weather allows it. It is a part of the local culture and you really have to do it multiple times in order to really understand and truly experience Munich.
The beer garden on Wiener Platz is probably one of the best places to start at. First of all, it is heavily populated with locals, as this is a favorite place for young and old “Muenchener”. Second, it is truly beautiful in spring, summer and autumn. Third – it has the perfect location in the beautiful area of Haidhausen, so you are guaranteed to find a nice place for the afterparty or quickly go to the Isar for a night out.

Munich is the capital of the German state of Bavaria and is Germany's third largest city, located on the River Isar north of the Bavarian Alps. Black and gold - the colors of the Holy Roman Empire - have been the city's official colors since the time of Louis IV, Holy Roman Emperor.
