A dining room with a hint of Krishna, Croome Court
England

Through the history of Croome Court, from the Coventry family to the Croome Heritage Trust and the National Trust, it has had many owners. Originally designed by Capability Brown and Robert Adam, one of it's later owners was the Hare Kirishna movement. In this room you can see where they have left their own personal mark on the building. Originally the plaster fruit decoractions would have been plain white, but they decieded to brighten the place up by adding just a touch of colour. Also other sections of white wall were painted bright colours too, but a later owner decided to return this part back to white. It is not until you see this room in context with the rest of the house that you realise how much a "breath of fresh air" this room provides.
