The small rural community of Calca is known for the inselbergs called Murphy's Haystacks, its red granite mined in the area, and for a seal colony breeding below the cliffs at Baird Bay. Calca is located approx. 30 kilometres south of Streaky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.
