Daber is a small dispersed settlement (in 2007 it had 27 inhabitants), which is less than a kilometer away from Šentviška gora. The village lies on the eastern edge of the Šentviška plateu, directly above the Idrijca Valley, at an altitude of 645 m. Surrounding fields and meadows are laced with numerous sinkholes and small karst caves. Still preserved mill and sawmill, which stand close to the source Tilnik, designated under a rock, are now included in the tourist Šentviška plateau.
