Dragonhead Recreation Area is located at the 12km mark of Highway 132 within Maolin District. Surrounded by high mountains on three sides, Dragonhead Mountain has an area of 22 hectares and has a hilly topography with winding streams. Within the recreation area there is a wooden footpath, a viewing deck, and a stone trail that leads to the "Wang Fu Cliff". A pavilion on top of the cliff overlooks the "Duona Suspension Bridge." The scene is very spectacular.

The river water here is clear. The rocks, cliffs, and a towering ridge forms a dragon-looking landscape that has come to be called "Dragon Spit Bead."
