Joe Pichler (1987- disappeared 2006) was a child actor from Bremerton, Washington. Living in Los Angeles, he starred in over 14 movies & shows, best known for his roles in Varsity Blues, Beethoven's 3rd, & Beethoven's 4th. Around 2003 at the insistence of his family, he returned to Bremerton to finish high school in 2005. He had started experimenting with alcohol & recreational drugs & had plans to return back to Los Angeles the following year.
Joe was last seen on January 5, 2006. His friends reported him being in good spirits while he was with them. It wasn't until January 16, 2006 that his family reported him missing. A week earlier, Joe's silver 2005 Toyota Corolla was found abandoned at this parking spot on January 9, 2006. A note found within the car expressed a wish to be a "stronger brother" and had asked that personal effects of Pichler's be given to a younger brother. His family did not characterize this finding as a suicide note.
Police investigated the scene & leaned on the possibility Pichler may have committed suicide. This parking spot is about 1/2 a mile from a high bridge crossing the Port Madison Narrows. His family doesn't believe he chose to end his life & instead lean on foul play. As of the time of this photo no trace of him has been found.
