Joss House (interior)[2]
California

Located in Weaverville, California, the Joss House is a Taoist temple built by the Chinese in 1874, making it the oldest temple in the state.  There are five temples left on the West Coast, most of them were burned & removed following the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Act.  The temple was on the verge of being permanently closed back in 2012 but has since reopened.  Here is the view inside where it is still in continuous use today, this view inside a side annex from the main worship area w/ original wallpapers & side display rooms.
