Kuna Cave (also known as Kuna Caves) is located south of Kuna, Idaho. On BLM land, a rough road takes one to the only entrance, a skylight hole, which has a steel ladder installed making for a 50' vertical descent down. From there one can venture north a quarter mile or squeeze through a sandy trench 1,000 feet to the south. Both directions require stooping & crawling, though I didn't explore. Unfortunately decades of graffiti & plenty of trash make this cave a lost cause for restoration, not to mention the odd smells of heavy charcoal & kickup of dust. The caves were apparently longer however vandals sealed up a section with breakdown. It is well known amongst the locals, especially teenagers, & during this visit Friday evening it was no exception. A lot of Idaho lava tubes have similar vandalism & this is probably the second worst trashed cave I have encountered in the state so far, the other being Seventeenmile Cave which I visited May 2010.
