This is the view from the intersection of Lagoon and Ned's Beach Roads. To the south across Lagoon Beach are Mount Lidgbird and Mount Gower. The Norfolk Island pines in the foreground are an introduced species and are considered a pest as they turn the soil acidic which inhibits the growth of natives such as the Kentia palms. To the east is the CBD with the hall/cinema on the left corner and the generator enclosure on the right. Next on the left is Humpty Micks restaurant with the post office across the road. Follow this road to Ned's Beach where one can handfeed fish and snorkel in the crystal clear water.
