Monterosso al Mare , the northern small town of Cinque Terre is naturally split into 2 parts by the big rock with the Monestry. To NW you have the beaches and the train station to SE the old town that along with the neighboring town Vernazza where hit by a flood of devestating mud oct. 25th 2011.
