The famous view of Monument Valley with the two Mittens to the left and middle. This panorama was taken from the viewing platform at the visitor center. Inside this building is a shop with Native Indian crafts and a restaurant with amazing views.

This particular day started with overcast skies and brief snow showers before it opened to some blue skies and sunshine. The spring weather in this part of the world can be unpredictable!

Access to the visitor center and the valley requires payment of a daily Navajo fee at the entrance station. Once inside the park you can drive the dirt road up close to the mittens and through to other viewpoints.
