Nimons Bridge at night
Victoria
A significant feature along the Ballarat–Skipton Rail Trail is the ancient Nimons Bridge in Newtown, which the trail crosses. Nearby, a dirt road allows for a detailed examination of this historic structure. Constructed in 1889 during the expansion of the Ballarat to Scarsdale Railway to Linton, Nimmons Bridge stands as a testament to the area's railway history, a fine example of a wooden tressel construction.
