Suone Heido Fulmoos 5 Switzerland
Switzerland

Hiked along the bisse Heido in the Nanz Valley. The "bisses" or Suonen are traditional irrigation channels built several centuries ago to water the cultivated land with previous glacier water.

The Suone Heido was first mentioned in 1305. There is a wonderful trail following this water channel.

I took the Postauto to Visperterminen and the chairlift up to Giw.

Here I already turned and follow the trail which leaves the end of the Nanz Valley and follows it direction Bistine Pass, which will bring me to the Simplon Pass.

Here it is snowing a bit. You can see small strange white pieces in the panorama. Later at the Bistine Pass it was snowing quite heavily.

You can see the trail I hiked on the other side of the Nanz Valley.
