The Nanhai(meaning shouth China Sea)God Temple, located in Miaotou Village, Huangpu District, Guangzhou city, was built in the 14th year of The founding emperor's Sui Dynasty (594) with a history of more than 1,400 years. It was a place for Chinese emperors to offer sacrifices to the sea. Since the Sui and Tang Dynasties, successive emperors have sent officials to nanhai Temple to hold ceremonies, leaving many precious inscriptions.
