This was the second time I witnessed a stunning sunset from this impressive vantage point in Sequoia National Park. One can see the start of the expansive Great Western Divide that runs parallel to the Sierra Crest proper, as well as beautiful Mineral King. To the west is the great Central Valley of California, which looks to be shrouded in reflective fog, but in reality is much less desirable: smog.
