Zhongshan Park is located at where of a former shrine erected during the Japanese Colonial Period. Today a pair of stone lions still sits at the entrance. The park adjacent to the local religious center Shoutian Temple, together with a gymnasium, library, and the National Gangshan High School campus. All the facilities have helped to add cultural and academic colors to the park. The relaxing environment with a tranquil atmosphere makes Zhongshan Park an ideal place for local residents to do leisure activities. Kaohsiung City Government now plans to renovate Zhongshan Park, promising a new look for local residents.
