Entrance to Barnum Cave, a lava tube located northeast of Weed, California. It is part of the same lava flow that created nearby Pluto's Cave roughly 190,000 years ago. This cave, as well as nearby Sand Cave the A-12 highway, were both gated in 1999 for bat protection w/ limited entry permitted.
