Bowtie Arch, Moab, Utah, USA
Utah

Bowtie Arch is a natural pothole-formed sandstone arch located 4 miles (6.5km) due west of Moab, Utah, USA. This image taken May 20, 2012 is from the base of the arch.  The arch is roughly circular with an opening of about 20 ft (6m).  Bowtie Arch is only 600 feet (183m) from much larger Corona Arch, which is also visiable in the distance in this image.   Both can be reached by a short and easy 1.5 mile (2.4km) hike from Highway 279 on the Colorado River, a 13 mile (21km) drive from Moab, Utah.
