At the end of the second day, the environment around the trail of the trek becomes wilder and wilder, and the Ciudad Perdida (Lost City) is not very far anymore. We are following the Rio Buritaca again, and we will soon reach the final camp before visiting the site. We are higher in altitude in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains, totally surrounded by lush jungle. Notice the beautiful tree fern growing on the side of the path.
