The very name of Transfiguration holiday testify truthfully and confirms the fact prehrišćanskog and pagan origin. It is a primordial connection of man and nature, based on the omnipotence of nature over man and man's effort to act on nature and to give herself completely, and that is adapted to their needs and desires. Given the difficult and very limited conditions of the original company, with his first and very poor tools and capabilities of the then small man, it is clear that to achieve the desire for mastery over nature approached the magical and religious practices. It is known that the magic was created in prehistoric times, and in the original community, and many magical operations are transferred to a new era in its many forms, getting a civilization in conflict with new content and new forms. It is a phenomenon that often creates great difficulties in determining its historical and social background, as well as time and place of origin.

Transforms the stones into the water and leaves in the mountains. It is a very sharp turn and the exclusive, much stronger and more powerful than the moon change. Since the days of the Transfiguration and the water in rivers and seas are becoming colder. From this day tabooed swimming in rivers, which means that at the Transfiguration of the swimming season ends. Sometimes, until the Second World War, the taboo respected. Today, the re-development of religious and magical consciousness, this prohibition applies only to the very holiday of the Transfiguration.
