The Great Theater was inaugurated on August 30, 1923 by King Alfonso XIII.
It is designed in neoclassical style, so in vogue at the beginning of the 19th century.
The façade is decorated by large stained glass windows and giant Corinthian columns.
Although it was designed for film shows, its main use is as a theater.
Between 1984 and 1990 a deep remodeling was carried out.
