In the Baztan Valley of Navarre there are some fortified houses witnesses of a time when lords fought each other to keep on with their power.
In the small village of Arraiotz there are some of these houses. Here we can see Zubiria close by, and further away Jauzarrea , which means Old Palace.
Both date from around XVth century.
