金剛滝は、あまり知られていない滝と思いますが、なかなか印象的です。今熊山の北側にあります。歩いていくとまず小さな滝が見え、その奥の本来の滝には小さなトンネルを抜けていきます。冬場に行ったのは初めてだったのですが、手前の滝のまわりが大きく凍りついていてびっくりしました。ここは標高は250m程度で武蔵五日市の駅からもそれほど遠くはないので、まさかこんなに凍っているとは思ってもいませんでした。一週間前ならもっと結氷していたかもしれません。滝の左側に小さな金剛像があり、それが滝の名前の由来らしいです。

Many hiking spots are in the western area, so you can enjoy walking on the trail, camping, and so on. If you see the beautiful mountain scene, you may not believe this is also in Tokyo.
