Lake Minnewaska is the first lake you come to at the top of the drive that leads in to Minnewaska State Park in New York. Located just 15 minutes west of New Paltz along highway 44/55, it is a beautiful park with many hiking and biking trails. The view from the cliffs down onto the lake is spectacular, especially at sunset. The Catskill mountains can be seen just to the north.
