Linken is named after the tower containing a Radio/TV link connecting the Lofoten Islands to Mainland. It's a landmark in Bodø, and a popular destination for short recreational trips, with a panoramic view spanning from Lofoten Islands (to the right of the tower), Steigen and Kjerringøy in the background, and with Bodø City and The Børvass Mountains to the south and Sandhornøya and Saltenfjorden behind in the horizon (west).
