We took the Gornergrat rack railway from Zermatt up to the Gornergrat (3'089 meters) and hiked down to the Riffelalp (2'222 meters).

Here we are between Riffelberg and Riffelalp at about 2'324 meters. It is a wonderful view to the Matterhorn from here. You can also see the Riffelalp, our today's hiking destination.
