Courtyard of Mission San Carlos Borroméo de Carmelo in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.  This is the second oldest established Spanish mission of the 21 built in California (est. 1770).  In view is the courtyard and gardens that lie outside the main chapel.  Father Junipero Serra, the leading founder of the California Missions, is buried at this location.
