On top of Mte Grappa there is a huge monument in memory of a cruel battle in world war I. Italian and austrian soldiers fought for month around these mountains. Thousands of soldiers on both sides lost their life. Nowadays it is a very popular attraction for tourists, hikers, bikers or paraglider-pilots. Far away in the south you see the adriatic coastline with Venice.
