Ocean Beach Hotel
Ocean Beach

We loved this hotel! The location is perfect, literally feet from the beach so you can hear the ocean from your room. The courtyard is quaint and very well kept - it was also great for events. The rooms were a good size and having your own mini fridge came in handy. We had the opportunity to meet the owner. The hotel means alot to him and he takes pride in keeping it clean and having a friendly and helpful staff.

The town of Ocean Beach itself is timeless, you feel like a part of the community the minute you arrive. Many delicious restaurants are within walking distance and there are a myriad of fun bars to frequent at night. Hodads (billed as the best burger in San Diego) is a block away and we loved the South Beach cafe across the street - Best tacos in San Diego!

Beginning in the early '70s, local development and land interests pressed for the development of Ocean Beach's oceanfront, with plans for tourist-oriented resorts, hotels and a marina outlined in the Ocean Beach Precise Plan. With the passage of a 30-foot (9.1 m) height limit in 1972. From Wikipedia
