Panorama of the minster place surrounded by historic buildings and the minster in Bad Säckingen, Baden Württemberg, Germany. Originally built in Roman style, then rebuilt in Gotic style after a fire in the 14th century, the splendid Saint Fridolin Minster was renovated in baroque style in the 17th and 18th century. The church is dedicated to St. Fridolin, a misionary who arrived in the area in the 6th century from Ireland and built a church and monastery on an island in the river Rhine.
