...At least I think they are pig intestines. I didn't ask. The end result will probably be some sausages of some kind.
Pigs in Baracoa are more common than you might think. Many folks have a small box on their roof containing a pig, not much smaller than the box itself. All the food scraps go into the pig box. It is essentially a living compost heap, albeit much noiser in practice than a regular compost heap. They also tend to break the nighttime silence with their squealing, but as long as they are not too frantic, it is a soothing way to fall asleep.
