Looking at the Bolivar Lookout at about 6,900' elevation on the north side of Craggy Mountain near Callahan, California. The lookout site was first developed in 1936 & serves as a better vantage point overlooking the Scott Valley compared to its former location atop Craggy Mountain. Here it sits on a granite perch w/ lots of cliffs & gullies down below. From here one can see into the Marble Mountain & Russian Wilderness areas as well as Mt. Eddy & Mt. Shasta to the east. An old trail weaves down from here to the forest service roads accessing the Boulder Lakes.
