We had visited this beach earlier in the day and saw a few seals along the beach. After we left I decided that I wanted to get back to the beach for sunset to get a photo but also to scope out if it would be possible at any time of the year to photograph the sun through one of the arches… I took a shot before sunset then I went over to a pool which had been left by the outgoing tide. Some baby seals were playing in the pool and I sat my tripod on the beach and watch them for a while. One baby seal came out the pool to see what my tripod and test how hard it was with its teeth. I was lucky enough to have my camera in my hand and managed to take a shot of the seal as it “attacked” my tripod. After about an hour I left to get my dusk shot before I lost the light.
