The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens are appoximately 2km from Hobart's city center and hold historic plant collections, significant large trees, and an increasing number of conservation collections of Tasmanian plants. The walls of the conservatory are built of sandstone and the colours and scent of masses of flowers are a must-see experience.
