With a total area of 80 hectares, the Dagang Mountain Scenic Area is located in the Dagang Mountains that has been long known as the “mountain of Buddha.” The Dagang Mountain Scenic Area, one of the unique ecological resources in the western plain of Kaohsiung, is abundant in spring water with plenty of bamboo trees and other wild plants along the trails. There are as many as 20 rest stops and attractions along the trails for tourists to take a break and visit, such as the mining exhibition hall, Green Park and Acacia Trail, Natural Park, Hsin Pavilion, Hao Pavilion, Leisure Wooden Platform, viewing platform, observation deck, wooden footway, leisure square, etc. The Dagang Mountain Scenic Area is also a popular place for schools to organize outdoor educational activities.
