Flims Promenade 2
Grisons

Panorama photographed on the Flims Promenade, at the Flims Waldhaus observation site. From here we can see the huge rock formation of Flims, the Flimserstein, and a beautiful view of the city of Flims.

Flims, a picturesque Swiss mountain village, with an unmistakable landscape formed by a natural disaster known as Flims Rockslide, a rockslide in Flims that occurred around 10,000 years ago, in the year 8,000 BC. It is the largest known landslide in the Alps.

Considered one of the most varied holiday regions in Switzerland in the canton of Graubunden, Flims is a popular destination. It was in Flims/Laax that in the mid-1980s snowboard pioneers took to the slopes for the first time. After 40 years, Flims is the freestyle capital of Europe, home to the world's largest halfpipe and Europe's largest snow park. With a huge diversity of mountain experiences, including 330 km of bike trails, three lakes: Cauma, Cresta and Laaxersee and the Rhine Canyon Ruinaulta, also called the Swiss Grand Canyon.
