Glasgow Central Rail Stations Glass Roof
Scotland

Taken from above Glasgow Central Rail station which was built in the late 19th century and opened in 1879 by the Caledonian Railway Company .

This is the largest glass roof in the world (Guinness Book Of Records). It consists of 30,000 panes of glass and covers an area of approx 6.8 acres .
