This is an overlook of the mighty Columbia River that divides Washington and Oregon. Looking south and a bit west at the river you will see Pierce Island and to the right of that Beacon Rock. The Beacon Rock hike is fascinating in itself but this hike up Hamilton Mountain will give you many views of the Columbia River and Bonneville damn in addition to many views of wild multilevel waterfalls. It is a 7.5 loop hike. Enjoy the vigorous 2,100 vertical ft. and superb vistas.
