Heathcote view from Mt Ida
Victoria

Mt Ida forms the western edge of the Heatcote Graytown National park.

The National park covers 12,833-hectare (31,710-acre)  and is an important flora reserve.

During the gold rush of the 1850's, this area had extensive alluvial deposits

At 450m alt. Mt Ida has a commanding view of the area, including this view of the Heathcote township to the SE and to the SW a part view of Lake Eppalock.
