1891 erbaute Carl Müller aus Teplitz auf 3.145 die erste Hütte. Nach Vergrößerung, Besitzerwechsel, Enteignung, Verfall und Wiederaufbau ist die Hütte heute in Landesbesitz und wird von der CAI-Sektion Bozen verwaltet.
