Perm. Art Residence. Personal exhibition "Flying around the native land" by Aidar Akhatov.
Russia
The character and outlook of the artist Aidar Akhatov are clearly manifested in his work and in those areas of activity to which he refers. An adherent of the traditions of ancient civilizations and the archaic, a supporter of modern European and Russian culture, the author brings into his art those thoughts and feelings that accompany him, a man of his generation, living here and now, in his work. “The exhibition “Flying Around the Native Lands” is a look at my life,” the artist admits. “In the works that I present at the exhibition, there is a return of time, images and impressions.” The exposition is indicative of how in his work the author persistently and consistently achieves the resolution of certain compositional and coloristic problems that are interesting to him, meeting his desire to convincingly reveal the stated topic, giving it either a lyrical or a philosophical sound. The personal approach of the artist to the interpretation of the image makes both the portrait series of masters of European art and small plastic art in the spirit of Permian wooden sculpture phenomena of equal magnitude in depth and power of expression.
