St James The Less Stubbings
England

This is one of three churches that are part of the Parish of Burchetts Green. The other two are : St. Mary the Virgin of Hurley and St. John the Evangelist of Littleneck Green.

The church was consecrated on 16th April 1850 by the Rt.Rev. Samual Wilberforce, Bishop of Reading.

The foundation stone was laid on 1st May 1849 and the church was consecrated on 16th April 1850 by the Rt.Rev. Samual Wilberforce, Bishop of Reading. The church is an example of what became common later on but was quite revolutionary in the 1840's, the honest straightforward, soundly constructed, simple building, which was in the genuine medieval tradition.
