St Mary's if the parish church of the old market town of Ware in Herfordshire. In farely recent history, within living memory of the elderly, Ware and its surrounding villages, boasted a number of breweris. There is still a pub named for one called the Green King, which was accross the road from it but is now redevelloped as desirable residences. There was also a large flower mill on the Lea, the river running through Ware, which is now a large block of flats.
The main industry, and largest employer by far in the vicinity, is the pharmaceutical giant, Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK)

NB You can spell the river as Lea or Lee. Both spellings are correct.
