Tabuaço is a small town located in the district of Viseu inserted in the Alto Douro Vinhateiro, World Heritage, classified by UNESCO.
Tabuaço, an essentially agricultural region, mainly olive oil and wine, is the county seat of 13 parishes with around 6,000 inhabitants. With several tourist itineraries, pedestrian routes duly signposted and catalogued. The manors and manor houses, the Douro farms, the typical villages and vineyards, the prehistoric monuments, the panoramic viewpoints.
With an exceptional diversity of landscape, it is divided between the traditional terraces of the Douro vineyards, pine forests and cornfields, nature in its pure state, activities related to wine tourism, bucolic rivers, the Douro river and its tributaries, Távora, Tedo and Torto enhance the beauty of Tabuaço. River tourism and nature tourism make Tabuaço an important hub in National Tourism and in particular in the Douro Region.
