Walhalla - Picnic with a view over Danube
Bavaria

Time travel: built in 1842 by Ludwig I (King of Bavaria, idea & owner) and Leo von Klenze (architect & inventor of the street with the same name in Munich) at a time when bridges over the Danube river were rare. In fact there was the Stone Bridge in Regensburg (upstream, to the west) and then nothing... the next bridge downstream at that time was the Széchenyi Chain Bridge in Budapest which wasn't finished before 1849.

More About Bavaria

The “Free State of Bavaria” is renowned for being culturally unique and for the emphasis which it places on preserving its heritage and traditions. It is also extraordinarily beautiful, boasting a plethora of castles, palaces, cathedrals, abbeys and monasteries not to mention spectacular scenery. Bavaria is more than Alps, men in “lederhosen” (leather pants), women in “dirndl” (traditional dresses) and frothy glasses of beer by the “maβ” (liter).
