中山桥--黄河第一桥
Gansu Province

俗称“中山铁桥”、“中山桥”,位于滨河路中段北侧,白塔山下。黄河铁桥不仅是兰州历史悠久的古桥,也是5464公里黄河上第一座真正意义上的桥梁,因而被称为“天下黄河第一桥”。


  中山铁桥的前身是明洪武5年(1372年),宋国公冯胜在兰州城西七里处建的浮桥;至明洪武9年(1376年),卫国公邓愈移浮桥至西10里处,称“镇远桥”;明洪武18年(1385年),兰州卫指挥杨廉将浮桥移至今日位置,至今遗存重10吨,长5.8米的铸铁桥柱“将军柱”三根。

  清光绪33年(1907年),清政府在兰州道彭英甲建议和甘肃总督升允的赞助下,动用国库白银30.669万两,由德商泰来洋行喀佑斯承建,美国人满宝本、德国人德罗作技术指导,建起了长233.33米,宽7米的黄河第一座铁桥,初名“兰州黄河铁桥”,1942年改为“中山桥”。1954年,人民政府整修加固了铁桥,又增加了五座弧型钢架拱梁,使铁桥显得坚固耐用,气势雄浑。
