A 400' aerial view overlooking vast alluvium plains coming off of the Monte Cristo Range near Coaldale Junction, Nevada as Highway 95/6 passes across.  From ground level one can see some of the erosion channels but this perspective gives a scale of the eons of fluvial geomorphology.  Many diagonal sediment catchment ditches are constructed alongside the highway as a way to concentrate sediment erosion.
