Located near the Napo river in the city of Francisco de Orellana (Coca), Ecuador, the Archaeological Museum and Cultural Centre of Orellana (MACCO) contains an exhibition of more than 300 objects from the Napo Culture (1.100 – 1.480 a.D.) including funerary urns, ritual plates, stone axes and other treasures form these unknown pre-hispanic cultures from the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest.
At the Cultural Centre visitors will find a Public Library, handicrafts and souvenirs store, a coffe shop, and an auditorium hosting theatre, dance, music shows, films and conferences.
